Wirikuta New Moon Centre

The Heart of Wirikuta:

Nestled in the hillsides of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Wirikuta is a sacred space where people gather to create community by participating in heart opening and embodied activities. Through conscious dance, yoga, meditation and retreats, participants cultivate a deeper attention to self that is embodied in the natural world.

Dancing in the center one feels close to the elements. It is a place where one dances below earth and on air, where, when the hall breathes with opened blinds one feels close to the silent arc of the heavens. When the music ends, one is engulfed by the chorus of the night.

The name was inspired by the book “Sacred Ground To Sacred Space – Rowena Pattee Kryder” and the concept of creating a space that facilitates “moving out of one’s conditioning and fixed ways to find Wisdom and Love.”
