Women for Change (WFC) is a non-profit organisation that brings attention to the crisis of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) in South Africa, utilising the power of social media to drive positive change. With almost 1 million followers across our social media platforms, we have a reach of up to 130 million per month and influence policymakers and public opinion. We have created a nationwide community, assisting hundreds of survivors and/or their families daily.
GBVF remains a pressing issue in our country, and for years, WFC has been at the forefront of advocating and raising awareness to end this deep-rooted issue. The organisation has experienced massive growth in the past years but has not received any funding and relies purely on donations and voluntary work.
Without sustainable financial support, WFC will be unable to continue operating at its current capacity, which would have devastating consequences for survivors, their families and the community we serve.
