I want to introduce you to an exceptional young individual who has captured the attention and admiration of our chess community. Charlton Mnyasta, a prodigious talent from a humble background, has demonstrated remarkable skill and dedication to chess.

Charlton hails from Elsies River Cape Town, where opportunities for advancement are limited, especially in niche fields such as competitive chess. Despite facing significant challenges, he has risen above adversity and showcased extraordinary potential on the chessboard. Charlton's dedication and hard work have culminated in notable achievements, including winning the U20 Junior Title at the South African Closed Chess Championships 2024. This victory has allowed him to represent our country in two major international events: He has also been dominating the Cape Town Chess scene for the past 3 years.
