About This Campaign

I come from the Lower Crossroads (Phillipi East) area of Cape Town, a place known for its incredible violence and gang activity. But I set my sight early on not following the crowd. I become a science tutor, but soon I realized that tutoring only impacts 5 students out of 20 and losing my brother to gangsterism, I decided to become a filmmaker, making movies that teach a broad audience. I enrolled in Film School Africa.
As I was shooting short films in my neighborhood, I notices a decline in arrests and violence. My community rallishes behind every project, inspired by the positive change I bring. Last year, I shot a short film, "After School," based on a true story from the township. The film wins an audience award, and I took home best director at my school festival.
Now, "After School" is going to screened and is eligible for an award at USA, AFRICA Film Festival taking place in Cannes in France. The festival happens in June, but they won't screen the film without a representative, and they need confirmation before 15 March. I need help with travel expenses:
