Every Cappuccino Can Make a Difference

My name is Yolan Friedmann . The SPCA speaks up for those who have no voice and whose suffering often goes unseen, unheard and unnoticed.

That is why I have chosen to support Midrand SPCA's 67 Minutes Behind Bars for Animals campaign this Mandela Day.

Every day, the Midrand SPCA team rescues animals from cruelty and neglect, investigates complaints, provides emergency care and protects the most vulnerable members of our community. Their work is often carried out quietly, without recognition, but its impact is immeasurable.

I'm asking everyone to consider donating the price of a cappuccino. While it may seem like a small amount, together those donations can provide food, medical care, shelter and protection for animals who desperately need it.

Dogs give so much to us. They guide the visually impaired, assist law enforcement, search for missing people, provide comfort and companionship, and enrich our lives in countless ways. This Mandela Day, we have an opportunity to give something back.
