Zachs hockey tour to Belgium and Netherlands

 Zach has been playing hockey from the age of 5, growing from strength to strength. Zach started off as a sweeper (goalkeeper) and was identified to play striker in grade 6. Zach has always had the opportunity of playing for his school’s A Sides/1st Teams at primary school.   He then started his high school career playing for the U14A and is currently playing in the U16A team. Zach also competes in the men’s league hockey, this whilst playing in the MTC (Mens Town Challenge) for Bellville Hockey Club – an accolade of being the youngest member of his experienced team.

Zach has been selected to represent his school on a hockey tour to Holland and Belgium in September 2024. This is an extremely honourable achievement, as he is still in his junior phase of high school, being grade 9 at 14 years of age. 

The funds being raised is more than what meets the eye.  Zach is Type 1 Insulin Dependent Diabetic, which unfortunately presents itself as a life-threatening condition.  In the perfect world, most parents would love to give the opportunity to t...
