My sister and I have been selected to be part of the 2024 FDDCMSA (Federation of Dance Drill Cheerleading and Majorettes sport of SouthAfrica) team, which will be participating in the IAM World Cup of Majorettes Sport at Agen(France).
We come from a township that is known for crime, high rate of teenage pregnancy and drug abuse. We joined drummies in order to refrain from being victims of the above mentioned issues that our community is facing. Drummies have positively impacted our lives in the past 13 years.
We are a true definition of not letting where we come from have an influence on where we are going. We have achieved our provincial colours and we were also selected to be adjudicators at the 2023 Nationals which took place at Western Cape.
We didn't come this far only to come this far. Being able to represent South Africa at the IAM World Cup of Majorettes Sport will help us inspire those who look up to us, from our township. They will see that anything is possible if...
