ZONE RADIO NEEDS YOUR HELP TO GET BACK ON AIR

Since January, Zone Radio has been embroiled in a legal battle with ICASA. Despite our best efforts, they seem determined to shut down our radio station for reasons that appear both incomprehensible and irrational. 23 July was a critical day as our urgent interdict application was heard in the Pretoria High Court. There were only two possible outcomes: either we would be  granted the interdict, or at midnight on 23 July, we would have to turn off our FM transmitter. Unfortunately, the ruling has gone against us, and we must turn off our transmitter, plus the court has awarded costs of the case to ICASA which will now bankrupt us.

We thank you all for your messages of outrage and support, and  we are now appealing to you to help us with these costs, as without your help we cannot continue and will have no alternative but to shut down completely and deprive you, our loyal listeners, of a radio station that you have all enjoyed.
