100 Species in 100 Days

100 Species in 100 Days

Personal message

Theo Potgieter of Inhlanzi Xtreme will be attempting a challenge around Southern Africa in the beginning of 2019 to raise funds for the Inhlanzi Xtreme non-profit company (2017/392314/08) which takes orphans out on fishing and camping trips and teaches them all about fishing and the nature around them.

For this attempt, Theo will travel far and wide to chase different species of fish from fresh to saltwater, east to west and north to south. Each and every fish will be specifically measured, recorded and photographed, and if need be tagged for marine biology purposes.

Throughout this journey people will be able to follow us on many social-medias as well as watch the videos on the entire journey.

The funds raised get recorded and equipment gets purchased for the orphans to use during their experience and after each experience they receive a photo album of their journey with Inhlanzi Xtreme which one day they could show their children. This is also a way of seeing if the children would like to one day make a career out of their experience. Who know what the future holds, they might be the next top Protea fishermen or a nature conservationist or a marine biologist.

Our mission is to teach the future generation about protecting and the conservation of the waters of Southern Africa for their future children to enjoy.

Our aim is to educate orphans about fish and the environment as well as taking them on exciting camping trips. In later stages we will be involving paraplegic children with snorkelling as well as taking blind children to do some exciting fishing experiences.
