A Daughter's Hero

This is a campaign to raise funds for my wife and her father. It's best described in her words:
"My father has cancer. Aggressive cancer that could be easily cured should he be treated in a private hospital. Today my dad is sitting amongst those waiting and hoping to see a doctor at the Oncology Unit at a State Hospital. It took forever to get him in today given the long waiting list. In the time it took to get my father this appointment I can't help but feel my heart drop. As he sits there beside my mother and aunt, little packed lunch on his lap.
Those of you who my father believed in, mentored or simply felt his absolute belief in your ability to be someone, will understand why I wrote this letter. This is who he is to us... my father has never made a distinction between rich or poor, blood or friend, mighty or meek. My dad sees 'the person ' where most see 'the baggage', 'the unwanted effort'."
Today my wife and father in law face the battle of cancer whilst his medical aid has canceled his subscription due to a 'loop hole'. They have lost everything and face the uncertainty of having no treatment for his cancer. This appeal is to raise funds to help them. More of her story is on her blogspot.
