A New Vehicle for Australian Shepherd Rescue Dogs

Personal message

The story of the Yaris bakkie:

"I am a little 900cc and have driven over 400000km all over the Western Cape and then from the Western Cape to Gauteng and all over Gauteng and North West. I travel anywhere to fetch rescues and go to markets and the airport and I fit quite a lot in, even a size 9 dog crate.

Granted, if I have two humans in the front they are often sitting with their legs in the air to fit in. I have traveled up rocky mountain roads and tons of gravel roads that made me feel like my engine would fall out.

I am now driving on 2 cylinders and I need to have rings, gasket and cylinder head to be fixed.  Our quote has R10 000 and I really want to be better.

But I also want to retire and so I thought a fundraiser for a Caddy or something equivalent would be a great idea.

Please help me help the rescues."

Love the ASSARO Yaris Bakkie

#didyouknow that if 2500 people donate R100 we will be able to purchase our Aussie Wagon?

Our little Yaris "bakkie" is at retirement age and we are needing a new wagon to cart the rescues to the vet and airport etc. And a VW Caddy will definitely fit the dog crates in and a load of things we are always carting around without any of us being squashed up lol.

Please help us help the Australian Shepherd Rescue Dogs

ASSARO is a pro quality life Australian Shepherd Dog Rescue Organisation whose home base is in Gauteng but works across South Africa.

When Ingrid Liberte fostered a deaf Australian Shepherd called Josh, she had a feeling that as time went on more Aussies were going to need new homes.  That is when, in January 2012, Australian Shepherd SA Rescue Organisation NPC (ASSARO NPC) was started for these rescues, which was subsequently registered in May 2012.

ASSARO NPC is a section 21 Non Profit Company that rescues and rehabilitates the Australian Shepherd Dog.
