Anton's Ironman Challenge for Souper Troopers

Anton's Ironman Challenge for Souper Troopers

Personal message

I recently completed the Copenhagen Ironman

On top of the just under 11 hours race time (for a 2.4 mile / 3.8km swim; 112 mile / 180km ride; and a marathon) I also spent nearly 300 hours training over 8 months (4500km of cycling, 800km of running, 130km of swimming)

I wanted to use all that dedication and suffering as a reason to ask you to donate some money to a cause very important to me

Souper Troopers was set up by some school friends of mine in Cape Town to help Cape Town’s homeless population reintegrate into society. They work with people who live on the street to restore their dignity and give them a sense of purpose.

You can check out their web page at or their Facebook page at

Their motto, DIGNITY LOVE RESPECT, captures their ethos perfectly, and their strapline – We are all human. We all have a story. Together we are the change – sums up how they use human engagement as a catalyst for change and break barriers by creating moments of connection.

It would be amazing if you would back them

Thank you very much

Kerry Hoffman spent a day sharing soup and sandwiches with people living on the street and that experience led to the establishment of Souper Troopers, a level 1 B-BBEE contributor, registered NPO and PBO that aims to restore dignity to homeless people and help them reintegrate them into society, thereby achieving its purpose of eradicating homelessness.
