Ayanda Kabinde

Personal message

My name is Ayanda Kabinde.  I am a first-year LLB student at the University of Pretoria. Last year I applied for NFSAS early submitted all the required documents and unfortunately, the funds were insufficient. I appealed still I didn't get it. Currently, I am owing the University R125 548.48. That is the sum total of everything tuition, residence, meal account except books which I had to buy myself. I really need this opportunity to better myself in my current background which is not good. My family in its entirety cannot afford to pay for my fees. I was fortunate enough I received a donor that agreed to pay for only my registration which is R5000 and I was able to register. Currently am in distress I don't know what to do I have tried to get a loan from fundi and I was not successful since they need two sureties who are working with payslips. At home, no one is working and we survive through my mother's pension grant. I would like people to drop in something niphonsele esivevaneni to help a brother to get educated.

Reaching my target will mean that for this first year I will be able to study debt-free to prove myself that am worth this chance. As of next year, I look forward to getting a bursary since most of the law bursaries start to offer funding from the second year. I believe that through God's will, I will be able to work hard and achieve the required marks to get funding.

The funds will be used for tuition which is in total R49000, meal R14400, stationery and books R5200 and residence R55000.

*As per the campaign creator's request, funds raised will be transferred directly to the relevant institution.*
