Give Baby Levine a fighting chance.

Personal message

Baby Levine's entry into world was a complicated one. His mother, Lindre Rodgers was admitted to Tambo Memorial Hospital with high blood pressure (16-11-2018). The hospital opted to rupture her membranes and induce her to bring on labour. By Sunday (18-11-2018) there was still no sign of labour. The doctor then opted for an emergency c-section due to the fear that Levine could get an infection. Levine was born at 13h30 on Sunday.

Tuesday both mom and baby were discharged. At home Levine was did not settle. On Thursday the doctor diagnosed Levine with a throat infection. Thursday afternoon he started getting seizures and was admitted again to Tambo Memorial Hospital. The paediatrician only saw Levine on Saturday and suspects that Levine developed a severe infection due to being without amniotic fluid in the womb for too long.

Since then Levine has had numerous lumber punches to ascertain what is wrong. It is suspected that Levine has meningitis but there has been no clear answers as yet. We would like to get him some private help so that he can get the care and help that he deserves. So far the service and care has been appalling. We fear for his life without the right care.
