Bellville Tygers World Cup

Bellville Tygers World Cup

Personal message

Bellville Tygers are proud to have many of our players and coaches selected to represent Team South Africa at the various WBSC World Cups. In 2022 there will be U12, U15, U18 and U23 world cups. The senior national side will also be selected and travel.

So far our Bellville Tygers representatives are the following individuals:

U12 Team SA
Tyler Peters
Kyle Griebenow
Sashin Ramjukadh (reserve)
Ian Griebenow (Head Coach)
Duwane Peters (HOD)

U15 Team SA
Rian Kuyk
Aiden Mckenzie
Liam Kuyk (reserve)
Paul van der Merwe (Assistant Coach)

3 squads are still to be announced at this time.

The South African baseball teams will participate in the Baseball World Cups in 2022 starting in July. With baseball being a minority sport in South Africa, the full cost of the World Cup is self-funded by the players and coaches personally.

The estimated cost of the tours will not be less than R25 000 to 40 000 per person (dependent on the rate of exchange at the time of bookings). Our aim is to raise the R500 000 required to cover the costs via a back-a-buddy initiative.

Reaching this target will impact the lives of all players and coaches. The funds raised to cover the cost of air tickets, insurance, uniforms and a training camp prior to the World Cup.

Tyger's family let’s help the parents and players raise the required funds so our club players' dreams can be fulfilled. Any little will helps so let’s get behind our players and coaches.
