I am Bolekwa Jezile, a 25-year-old student at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). I live in Western Cape, Cape Town. I am studying towards a Bcom Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology. I am in possession of a Bcom Human Resources Management degree, which I also obtained from UWC.
I am starting this fundraising campaign because I need funding for my studies.
I enrolled in my postgraduate studies in 2018, and I was pregnant at the moment. I gave birth right during the exam period for the first semester. I failed a module for the semester and had to repeat it this year. The majors for this course is Industrial Psychology. I am currently registered as a full-time student. I have already written my exams for this module and I received my results, confirming that I have passed the module. I am glad and happy to have passed the module but at the same time concerned about not getting my transcript because I owe the university. I am also worried about not getting an opportunity to graduate in August for this same reason. I am currently working as an organisational development intern at Pepkor Holdings Limited. I tried making negotiations with the University just after I got the internship. Sadly, I was told that the university cannot accept the amount I could afford to pay each month.
I am open to any amount that can help contribute towards my fees. I owe the university an amount of R 16 910.05.
The givers/donors do not have to send the money straight to me but can use the university's account as I need this money to fund for my tuition.
Should I successfully settle my study debt through your help, this will provide me with an opportunity to be debt-free. I will also get a chance to graduate in August, and also get my transcript and certificate.
This will open opportunities for me to apply at other institutions to further my education (study for my masters).
*Funds raised will go directly to the university*
