In the heart of a region experiencing unparalleled turmoil, Gift of the Givers stands as a beacon of hope, unwavering in our commitment to the people of Gaza. Our dedicated teams, enduring immense physical, emotional, and mental stress, continue to operate in the face of profound challenges, all the while maintaining concern for the well-being of their own families.

From the very first day, we have been diligently procuring essential medical supplies, life-saving medications, and wheelchairs for those injured in the relentless onslaught. We refuse to let anyone arrive at the hospitals with nothing but the trauma of merciless bombings, ensuring that patients receive new clothing and vital hygiene items. To keep the ambulances moving, we are providing the necessary funding for fuel, even as hospitals and ambulances themselves have been targeted.

Amidst the complex circumstances, our three desalination plants are a lifeline, supplying clean, safe drinking water to thousands. When the electricity supply was abruptly cut off, we stepped in, powering the plants with generators and whatever fuel resources could be secured.

Gift of the Givers recognizes that sustenance extends beyond basic needs, which is why we have served hot meals to thousands, delivered food parcels to communities, and offered families vouchers to purchase necessities from local businesses. Our longstanding presence in the region has fostered trust, leading businesses to release items in advance of payment, enabling the flow of assistance.

We are preparing for a more extensive humanitarian intervention, but much depends on the passage of goods through the Rafah border. Additionally, we are actively exploring the possibility of a special aid flight to further bolster our efforts. We understand the inherent risks our teams face, and as such, we've asked them to expand their networks and personnel, ensuring the continuity of our distribution efforts even in the face of potential threats.
