Cattle Baron Tyger Waterfront Waiter Support

Personal message

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the surrounding legislature, we as a restaurant have been severely affected and thus our staff as well. While we are making every effort to support as many staff as possible our waitrons are at the top of the list as they are perhaps the most affected out of all of us. With most of our waitering team living paycheque to paycheque while being the sole breadwinners in their family and little to nothing in the way of savings, their income has been reduced to a fraction of what they need to survive day-to-day. We have made every effort to prioritise the most affected waiters and find additional income streams for them, but the reality remains that this simply may not be enough.

In our restaurant, we like to think of all of our staff as family and we know that some of our clients feel the same way as it is clear the long-lasting impact these waiters have had on so many of our loyal and regular clients over the last 16 years. With the current situation expected to last up to 3 months and potentially worsen, we thought it prudent to ask our loyal client base to help and support this family of ours while we try to keep our heads and the restaurant above water to fight another day. All proceeds will go directly to our most affected waitering staff and we know that every cent will make the world of difference for our waiters.

Reaching our target will ensure that our waiters will be able to support their families and themselves through these tough times.

All funds will be distributed to our waiters. The amount to each waiter will depend on whether they have a family or not and their years of service.

Yours sincerely, Deon & Louis-Delien
