My name is Charles Morgan Olsen, also known as Skalakie, this year I am proud to be embarking on the OCAL2018 Journey for Change. OCAL Global is a non-profit organization which is challenging the global perception of differently-abled persons. OCAL Global uses corporate branding in their well-publicised events to raise funds for their continued mission in enhancing the lives of differently-abled persons.
I am incredibly excited to be taking part in the nonstop OCAL2018 running relay from Pretoria to Cape Town. We will reach Cape Town just in time for the FNB12 OneRun. The OCAL2018 running team is comprised of myself and eleven fellow teammates, two of whom are differently-abled athletes. The event will take place over ten days during which time, at any one time, at least one member of the team will be completing a segment of the route down to Cape Town.
The OCAL2018 Journey for Change embarks on its inspiring mission of changing people’s perceptions about disability on the 10th of May 2018.
We are asking for funding, however much, so that we can continue the OCAL Global mission through 2018 as it has done since 2016. This year, each team member has to raise an amount of R30 000 which will go towards funding a sustainable school in the Northern Cape for Learners with Special Educative Needs (LSEN).
Please, will you consider donating to the cause or becoming an annual sponsor of this excellent event?

On 27 April, 2017, the OCAL Global team will depart on a run from Cape Town to Pretoria. Over 10 days and 10 nights, they will travel 1800km in a 24-hour, non-stop relay.
The team will be made up of 10 able-bodied runners and two hand cyclists.
The OCAL 2017 JOURNEY FOR CHANGE is being run to raise awareness around disability and will be raising funds for Tembaletu LSEN School (School for Learners with Special Education Needs) in Guguletu, Cape Town, South Africa.
All funds raised will be used to purchase sporting equipment and kit, and the building and installation of sports facilities at the school.
