Personal message

My name is Chelsea Sedick, mother of Zachary Sedick who is currently 2 years old & 10 months based in Elsies River, Cape Town.

Zachary has been so blessed with amazing support since we've shared his birthing story in 2017. Zachary is diagnosed with Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy due to a theatre being unavailable at a State Hospital to perform an emergency c-section.

Since Zachary has been born he was faced with many health challenges. The recent, undergoing theatre for an insertion of the PEG as he was unable to feed orally as well as going for a CT scan as he is currently on day 21 at N1 City Hospital for multiple infections, Scepticitis and Candida Tropicalus to name a few.

Although we have medical aid (which we pay the full amount in cash monthly), some bills are not covered by medical aid, due to co-payments, etc.

With this being said, we are currently running a bill of R 4 000 ( A physio bill that was billed out of hospital for a chest infection, a co-payment for CT scan, as well as short payment from medical aid for anesthetist bill)

To get this covered, will at least give us a boost and get us focused on Zachary and getting him comfortable.

Reaching our target will mean that we have financial relief on what seems like a heavy cloud of medical bills.

We can then shift all of our focus on Zachary instead of daunting bills that keep piling up.

Any assistance will help us greatly.

The funds will be used in the following way:

  • His chest physio bill will be paid for
  • His shortfall of CT scan will be paid to the healthcare providers
  • His Anesthetist bill will be paid up

Funds raised will be paid into my bank account.
