Personal message

My name is Clayton Thornton Le Roux, a regular 16-year-old, that attends South Peninsula High
School and lives in Grassy Park, Cape Town.

Like most kids my age, I have a major dream in my heart!
My dream is to compete in the biggest Hip-Hop competition in the world, Hip Hop International. This
year’s competition is in Phoenix Arizona USA from 3 rd – 8th August 2020. It is attended by over 4000
dancers from 56 Nations.

I’ve qualified to compete in 2 sections at this year’s Hip-Hop International competition; Adult Crews
and Break-Dancing Solo. The exposure and experience that I can gain in the US will be invaluable.

What can I say?......... Dance is my Life!

I’ve been dancing since the age of 8-years-old and enjoy all forms of dance; from Hip-Hop to
Contemporary, Jazz, BBoy, Gum-boot, House, Latin-American, Ballroom to name just a few.

Dance has allowed me to see places and achieve many things I never knew possible, including
achieving my National Colours for Hip-Hop in Leiden Amsterdam in 2017, alongside my crew from
Diversify Dance Studio in Cape Town.

My amazing parents are doing their best to help me achieve my dream and I want to do my part too,
so any assistance that I can get to attend this awesome opportunity would be greatly appreciated.

“Take more chances. Dance more dancers.”
Reaching my target will mean that I could get lots of exposure and gain so much more experience but not only helping my own dance career but hopefully would help me to help other kids in S.A achieve their dreams.
The funds would be used for the following:

- Flights
- Accommodation
- Competition Entry Fees
- Hip Hop International Admin Fees

* Funds raised will be paid directly into the relevant beneficiary's account*
