Two of our staff members, Brian and Farai, lost their homes in the Masi Fires that burnt everything to the ground on Sunday Night 28th July 2019.
We are wanting to assist with restoring their homes and there self-worth back to where it was or better.
When you walk around an area like this that has been devastated by fire, and the little that the people had is now nothing, your heart cries out for some sort of balance and fairness, and seeing how far the starter packs go (enough to build a roof but no walls) which are generously donated by the city, you can't help but be driven you assist these guys (our staff members) and others to re-build their homes and their lives.
We are trying to do everything we can as fast as possible, as they have no warmth, no food, and no shelter, for the next few days, and this is during a heavy Cape of Storms Cold Front with strong wind and rain throughout today (while they try re-build)
We need to give them what we can as soon as possible.
Clovelly Country Club has committed to assisting re-build the structures that would provide them a simple shelter. We are looking to these donations to assist them with making that shelter a home -
They will need warm clothes, blankets, a bed, a stove (to cook on) and a fridge to keep food from going off.
These funds will make a bare shelter a home to live in and more, and allow them to re-start their lives from scratch.
The funds will be going directly to the individuals that need the money to re-build their homes, they will be asked to account for the purchases and provide invoices with some guidance from us.
Please keep in touch with our Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/ClovellyCountryClub/) which will keep you updated on the progress of these two gentlemen rebuilding their homes, and the generous donations raised through this Backabuddy campaign.
