Conservation Achievement Score

Personal message

Conservation Guardians recently submitted an abstract to the EAZA Conservation Forum for their conservation achievement score to be adopted.

We received a positive reply:
"Thank you for your interest in the EAZA Conservation Forum 2018. The organising team was pleasantly surprised by the amount and quality of the abstracts received, including yours with the title of “Conservation Achievement Score Project”.
The organizing team has reviewed over 100 abstracts and had to make some difficult decisions. We are happy to be able to inform you that your abstract has been included as an oral presentation in the programme!"

The Conservation Achievement Score project is the scientific assessment of a places conservation achievement: an objective measure of the facts.

Our vision is that this score can be used as a guide or grading system for the travel trade and tourists so that they gain insite into the conservation integrity of an eco-tourism experience. The objective being that valuable tourism dollars are directed to real conservation tourism projects.

Our ambitious request is to attend the conference and then visit three key associations of travel agents, asking that they adopt the initiative on behalf of their members.

Our direct request is for assistance to the conference. This includes the flight, internal travel and hotel and conference fees.

Our attendance of the Conservation Forum Symposium 2018 will enable Conservation Guardians to get the relevant funding to impliment the Conservation Achievement Score.

Humble gratitude for making our vision a reality.
