Cornea transplant

Cornea transplant

Personal message

Les-Anne Pillay has a very advanced case of keratoconus in both eyes, so much so that she can only see Counting Fingers vision. Unfortunately, she has had an unsuccessful attempt at contact lens restoration of her vision, as her keratoconus is so steep that she cannot keep the lens from falling out of her eye. The only course of action to get Les-Anne to see better is to have a corneal transplant in both eyes.

Her mum is unemployed and dad is employed as a casual worker. Despite her impairment and with great difficulty she has graduated in May this Year with a Bachelor of Science Information Technology, however she cannot seek employment due to her rapidly deteriorating eye condition.

It's impossible to know her pain but she is a positive young lady, determined to live life to the fullest and achieve her dreams. She wants to be able to take care of her family, reduce their stress and worry for her. She has asked us to thank you for taking the time to read this email and for passing it along and she hopes to generously give back to those in need when she is able to.

*The funds raised will be transferred directly to the doctor*
