David and Ann Ashworth's S4J Challenge for 2019

David and Ann Ashworth's S4J Challenge for 2019

Personal message

Earlier this year, David and I were approached by Norman to assist in raising funds for the Beja people based in the deserts of Sudan and Egypt.  Through S4J, Norman works tirelessly to raise money to assist some of the most avoided and neglected people in the world; money which is used to assist with the education, healthcare and basic sustenance needs of the Beja.

This year, David and I would like to run Comrades in aid of funding Water for the people of the Sudans, our intention being that through our running, we too may assist in raising money to be used toward the drilling and construction of boreholes needed deliver water to the region.

A single borehole costs USD 10000 - and so today, we challenge you to assist us in raising sufficient funds to establish a single borehole for use by the Beja. Together, and with Christ, all things are possible.

S4J is a fundraiser where athletes who run the Comrades marathon (and other races) raise funds to help the people of Sudan and South Sudan. We focus on providing help to war victims, as well as those in avoided and neglected communities where help is needed most.
