Abby's Angels

Personal message

Abigail Barnes was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in October 2018.  Although it was devastating at first, we have accepted the diagnosis and are now fighting with everything we have to ensure that Abigail receives all the help and support she deserves to enable her to live a fully functional life.

Abby is currently enrolled at Star Academy where they believe that the right autism treatment can lead to recovery.   As parents, we would give everything and anything to help our child live her best life.  Unfortunately, the medical aids do not pay for most of these treatments and therapies in South Africa yet.  We are therefore asking you, your company or anyone you think might be interested, to support us by either giving a once off donation or a monthly sponsorship.

Abby’s current therapy fees stand at R20 000 per month.  (This excludes all the medical supplements and doctors’ fees that is not covered by the medical aid.)
Therapy 20000
Supplements 3000
Caregiver 2000
Monthly total 25000
Annual total 300000

We thank you for taking the time to read our story.  Every prayer, message, positive thought you can send our way will be greatly appreciated.  For more info and explanations on what ABA therapy involves and how you can contribute, please go follow our facebook page – Abby’s Angels.

*Funds raised will be transferred directly to Star Academy*
