Personal message

We desparately need assistance to vaccinate, sterilise and treat the animals in Clanwilliam, Your kindness matters and will help us greatly...

We are a small team with very limited resources, we dont have a vehicle for the welfare, we dont have a permanant or temporary facility to use as a venue and are unable to bring veterinarians into our town to help without a venue. We have asked the town and businesses with no success.

All our hard work from the last 13 years is is going backwards, we need to make a plan, we are no looking to use a mobile pop-up clinic in orer to at least bring a veterinarian to our town once a month to assist all the animals.

During  2021,  CLAWS sponsored 500 pet sterilisations with your help, Durng 2022 we could only afford 280 sterilisation and 500 vaccinations. For 2023 we have not been able to much without a veterinarian in our town. The closest vet is 80km away

Covid has brought many of us to our knees regarding business and jobs which means people are struggling more that before. We are witnessing too many starving animals now and there will be many abandoned puppies and kittens as we have not been able to sterlise the 300 animals on the waiting list. There are no services here, there is no permanant vet in Clanwilliam. The state of animals is a direct reflection on the state of the overall population of people in an area.

We are having to struggle through many challenges and we will try everything to help animals that need assistance when we can help. In a small-town teamwork is essential and the more people that can stand together to help each other the more we can get done. Supporting animal welfare is a benefit to everyone, it will assist in the prevention of suffering and reduce the spread of infectious diseases and a sharp increase in unwanted animals. We are not able to do it alone or withour a venue.

Please help us to get a mobile unit up and running, feed and treat the welfare animals in Clanwilliam
