We are a class of 13- and 14-year-old students in Germany (8g at Drawehn-Schule Clenze) in the rural area around Hamburg and we are very impressed by Nemato Change a Life`s work, the children`s talents and their achievements. We do a lot of sports ourselves and so have an idea how much energy and discipline are necessary to achieve one`s aims, at school as well as in sports, although our lives seem to be so much easier than those of the young people in Nemato.
We would like to raise money for a Nemato Change a Life project that we consider to be extremely useful: access to sustainable energy. The money save in this way can be used for further development of their skills and making more of their dreams come true.
Nemato needs a lot of electricity to work efficiently:
A minimum of three computers are used about 16 hours a day for
- school and homework
- sports: coaching videos, theory using youtube and flickr
- organization, administration and office work
Food for about 40 children has to be stored and cooked every day.
The idea is to instal solar panels on the roof of their new building. As Port Alfred lies on the ''Sunshine Coast'' this sounds like a brillant idea.
We would be grateful for your support of our project.

Nemato Change a Life
SUCCESS IN LIFE - FOR YOUTH, BY YOUTH. Nemato Change a Life is an empowerment organisation for disadvantaged township youth. It's run by its beneficiaries and helps the members to get the mindset, skills, knowledge and support to become successful in life. The programme includes daily homework classes, sport (rowing, gymnastics, handball and fencing), President's Award, career counselling and much more. We try to assist each individual member to find a way to a bright future.
