DSIEF Junior Cycle Tour 2019

DSIEF Junior Cycle Tour 2019

Personal message

Arna Madurasinghe and Leonie Kobler (plus their siblings and parents) will again be riding the 7km Junior Cycle Tour to raise funds for Down Syndrome Inclusive Education Foundation.

We appeal to the children (and the parents) of Herzlia Constantia to support them with sponsorship.

DSIEF

We are a non-profit that promotes inclusive education for children with Down Syndrome. We start with early intervention with infants including structured play and our main project is Eartly Impact, mainstreaming at preprimary school where all the benefits of peer-learning are combined with extra support from trained assistants and specialist speech, physical and music therapy.

Herzlia Constantia has received 3 of our graduates and we've been assisting as a foundation to share knowledge and improve outcomes.

We have seen almost 20 children benefit from our programmes, which has also enriched the experience of the school community (other pupils and their parents, teachers and staff) and hopefully made an impact on the wider community in terms of greater acceptance of people with disabilities.

More alike than different!
