My son, Dylan, has been chosen for the 2nd year from a group of 2 700 high school rugby players from the Southern Cape sports district to participate in a tour to Ireland this year!
Last year, due to a sports injury and insufficient funds, he was not able to make the tour to New Zealand and his year he was chosen again and as this is his second last year of school we would like to make this tour a reality for him.
Dylan was not a keen rugby player due to his ADDH as a young boy and could not really focus on the game so he did not participate in sports.
When he reached high school he rediscovered the sport of rugby. This took me by surprise as both his dad and I were not big rugby fans, in spite of this he was determined to play the game of rugby and with the help of his stepdad he learned the game.
He was always one of the smaller guys on the field. Only starting rugby in high school is rather hard as all your peers have been playing since primary school. He worked very hard to get the necessary skills to be chosen for the U19 A team at the age of 16.
After not being able to go on tour in 2018 he has focused his energy on getting better and better by spending many an hour in the gym and on the field, all this hard work paid off again this year when he was chosen to tour Ireland this year.
Please, can you assist me to make this tour a reality for him in 2019?
The total cost of the Tour is R50 000.00
R14 000-00 is towards flights.
(R36 000-00) is towards accommodation and food.
The Final Payment to ensure his spot on the Tour is 15-08-2019.
