My name is Edward Chamberlain-Bell. I leverage assorted media platforms to raise awareness and promote local restaurants.
The COVID-19 lockdown is having a detrimental effect on all South African businesses. The restaurant industry was one of the first to be affected and will probably be one of the last to recover. I am raising funds to create social media activations to market restaurants as soon as they are allowed to trade are the lockdown restrictions have been lifted.
Traditionally we marketed restaurants through social media collaborations with media and influencers using the hashtag DineJoziStyle. The restaurants paid for the event. Following COVID-19 lockdowns, restaurants are going to have limited resources and tools to market themselves. A DineJoziStyle marketing collaboration will be the quickest and most effective method for restaurants to market themselves.
For the first three months, I will not be charging to host a DineJoziStyle collaboration. I will also be offering my services to the hospitality industry for free.
The average DineJoziStyle campaign reaches over 275,000 people so it offers excellent value for money as a marketing tool for restaurants.
100 percent of all donations (excluding banking fees) raised through crowdfunding will go towards restaurants who we collaborate with.
Neither I, nor any influencers, will be paid for their services. In the interests of transparency, all funds, collaborations, and expenses will be documented and made available for public scrutiny.
What's in it for you?
Firstly, you're contributing towards reviving the restaurant industry as soon as possible. They're getting a generous cash injection coupled with influencer marketing. The long-term benefits are exponential as we have a ripple effect.
Check out our Facebook page for a small way to thank you and also include you and your efforts.
Which restaurants will we be collaborating with?
All restaurants will be needing our assistance but we will be focusing predominantly on smaller Mom and Pop suburban restaurants. We will also be budgeting accordingly for each restaurant to ensure that we can support as many restaurants as possible.
What happens if we don't raise enough money for 1 DineJoziStyle?
All money will be donated to StreetSmart South Africa who raises funds for street children projects through participating restaurants, accommodation establishments, and wine tasting centers.
