Maidtocook book printing

Personal message

I am Fikile Zungu from Soweto I am 39 years. Since 2010, I have lived and worked in Belgium for the embassador Residence in Brussels. I worked as a maid at the residence for 5 years until recently. Two years ago I got promoted as a cook at the residence and this promotion has brought nothing but my own identity. Before I was promoted my life was not relevant to me, I had no ambitions, no dreams, no self-love and I did not know who I was. I never ever dreamed of my life being different from what I knew.

I always worked petty jobs and with only matric so I just threw and reserved myself in the darkest corner of the world but now my life has drastically changed because now I cook. Cooking gave me my identity. It brought me back to the brighter world now I see things differently than before. I know who am I, I know my worth, I have bigger dreams and I am ready to be out there in the world. This promotion from work had a very positive impact on my life to such an extent that I created beautiful, tasty dishes and that has pushed me to publish my own cookbook and I also lost weight from my cooking because I specialise in banting meals. Now I'm afraid that my dreams will be shattered because of funds, and that scares me a lot.

The fundraising is to help me with the printing of my book, I have worked hard to get where I am. I decided to do self-publishing because so many publishing companies have closed the doors on me they never wanted to take a risk with me. Maybe it is because I was a maid with no qualifications and also was a first-time author. I decided to fund my own publishing because I could not take to be rejected over and over. I have used my personal money for the process of the book of which left me broke and now I cannot seem to raise more funds for my book to be printed. I find this so demotivating.

I was hoping my book will be realised in December when I turn 40 just to confirm that life really begins at 40. I know for sure that when my book is realised that will be the starting point of my life.

Funds will be used for the printing book purposes
100 books 19207.24
Price per unit 192,07
200 books 36,809,37
Price print per unit 184,05

But now I foresee that the book will be on high demand I will need at least 300 books for the start which will cost 57,621.

The impact will be very positive to me I can be able to move on to the next chapter of my life ...the book will be able to give me the recognition, publicity, opportunities in the food industry and my dream will be fulfilled ... I know for sure that this book when it comes out I am destined for greater things and I will be the inspiration to many.

Please follow my progress here.

*Funds raised will be transferred directly to the publisher and she will pay the printing company.*
