Personal message

A voluntary animal welfare organization which fundraises for purpose of caring for injured, neglected & needy animals in McGregor & surrounding areas. Creating an awareness of pet population control through regular sterilization programs, as well as, raising awareness through youth and young people’s educational programs.

Our Animal Welfare work in McGregor and Robertson is carried out by Del Jones, a qualified AWA practitioner who uses her own vehicle in the execution of her duties and assists the vets of the John Moore Animal Foundation in monthly spay and sterilisation drives in McGregor and Robertson and runs the Steri Unit in McGregor on her property. Details and statistics of our work can be seen on our website: - more than 171 animals have been sterilised for the indigent communities in the last 18 months.

 Friends of Care also provide a 24/7 emergency reaction and a fortnightly primary health care /treatment clinic in the indigent areas.

We are a registered NPO and PBO and provide Tax Certificates for tax rebates on donations made to Friends of CARE - just go to our website and request a tax certificate - e-mail HERE

We work closely with The John Moore Animal Foundation in Robertson.

Friends of CARE is an organisation to receive and use funds by way of donation, for the benefit of animals primarily in Robertson and McGregor and surrounds, at the discretion of their Managing Committee, which will include the prevention and treatment of animal diseases, sterilisations, the provision of educational programmes relating to animal welfare and the prevention of ill-treatment of animals.
