"Ball for All" hosts dances for wheelchair users and amputees. Our next event is DV on 18 April 2020 in Pretoria East.
We're going to attempt to up the current Wheelchair Combi Dance World Record. We so would like to bring groups of wheelchair users and amputees and their loved ones, to participate in the exciting event.
We need about R15 000 for each of the three groups, to attend. Funds will be used to cover their travel and entry costs. Every R10, R20, R50, R100 or more will bring us closer to our target, and to our objective to give these individuals the opportunity of a lifetime.
Many of the people we have spoken to, have never been to a social function - let alone a social function of this nature.
Having to live with the additional challenges of being a disabled person, over and above the usual challenges life holds, takes courage.
We will be honored, to be instrumental in opening a whole new world to the wheelchair users and amputees from Soshanguve, Mamelodi, and Soweto - for now.
By contributing to this amazing cause, you'll experience first hand the immense reward of having a very positive impact on the lives of many people - living with way fewer privileges than yourself.
Funds raised will be used for a group of 70 participants, each group traveling from Soshanguve, Mamelodi or Soweto, the travel cost will be in the region of R7 500 for the group, and the entry to the event and world record attempt, R7 000 for the group.
Finger snacks, a goodie bag, live show, and the world record attempt are all included. We will be delighted if we could raise a bit more, to purchase beverages for the participants as well.
