My name is Angie. My daughter, Anthea, was offered a fairy tale opportunity last year when she was 13 years old. In March 2018, she sent a ballet audition video to Canada’s National Ballet School, one of the best ballet schools in the world, and was accepted to attend a second-round audition at the school in July 2018. Much to all of our amazement, at the end of her audition process, Anthea was offered a place in the school. Even though Anthea has received some assistance, remaining school fees and residence fees, the costs incurred to cover flights, visas, permits and other requirements have been onerous.
We are a closely knit family and Anthea was nervous to leave and travel so far away on her own. I reassured her that I would find a way to travel to Canada to visit her and support her. Anthea is currently in this most wonderful school, but is missing her home, family and beloved spaniel very much. I am unable to fulfill my promise to visit, as I do not have the funds to cover the cost of flights and accommodation.
Over the last year, Anthea's hard work and dedication has secured her a second year at Canada’s National Ballet School, starting at the beginning of October 2019 and I dearly wish I could travel to Toronto and spend this time with her and help her settle in and prepare her for the coming year.
Flights and visas to Canada are in the region of $2000 and accommodation, as well as other travel expenses, would be at least as much.
If Anthea could receive the support of $50, from 100 kind people like yourself, it will help me to visit her in Canada, at least once for two weeks.
$100 from only 100 people and Anthea and I can spend a whole month together.
$500 from only 100 people and I would be able to visit Anthea a few times a year.
Anthea and myself would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your kind donation. You have brought us one step closer to being reunited.
