Help me become a boilermaker

Help me become a boilermaker

Personal message

My name is Herbert Tuwacha and I live in Standerton, Mpumalanga. I am 24 years old.

I am raising funds to attend a boiler-making training program. I haven't been able to get a proper job because even though I passed my matric well I couldn't afford to go to university or get a proper qualification since I could not afford the fees involved.

I have worked consistently but have only found casual jobs and have not been able to save as I contribute all that I make to food and family expenses so technically I'm living from hand to mouth.

I would love to become more skilled so that I can support my family. The training center in Mpumalanga is called DMT Training and they want R4 500 for the first part of the course and the second part costs R10 000. I would like to get even half way through the course, even if I do so on an empty stomach. At least I will be learning a skill.

R4 500 will be used to pay for the first part/level of the training, and the R500 that is left will contribute towards my transport and food. If with your help I manage to raise the money the training will last for 6 weeks

The funds will give me a fair opportunity to enter the job market. I will be able to help my parents and two younger sisters through school and aim to get them into better schools.

*Funds raised will go directly to the training program, and thereafter to Herbert for transport and food during training*
