INGANE IFUNDE PROJECT
Ingane ifunde (Educate the children) is a program designed to provide on-going support to children from primary to secondary school (metric.) Due to the scourge of HIV/AIDS, drug &Alchohol abuse, poverty and human trafficking many children are left orphaned and/or vulnerable and desperate need of help every year. Through this project hope of victims stands in the gap.
The aim of this project is to give vulnerable children in the community a better chance at acquiring education not only by providing for school fees but also stationary, uniforms and other secondary needs. This enable the student focus on their studies.
This far hope of victims has depended on member contributions and fundraising events for support. We currently have 40 children who are beneficiaries of the program. Given that the program is ongoing the organization needs donor contributions in order sustain and expand our reach. We are looking to increase the number of beneficiaries to 100 this year as we have had a rising number of eligible children for the program.
We are working with the department of social welfare, school head teachers and members of the community for identification, assessment and enrollment of children into the program. we endeavor to allocate resources in a way that will be most impactful.
MONITORING & EVALUATION
We systematically keep in touch with head teachers, class teachers , children and parents through our in house counsellor who is also the project coordinator.
