Diabetes 8 WORKSHOPS

Diabetes 8 WORKSHOPS

Personal message

My name is Mmusoothata  Mokgalagadi, commonly known as Jackie. I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes in 2006. I was diagnosed late, when I almost became blind. My vision was blurred.

Over the years, I learned a lot about diabetes as a dangerous, life-threatening, chronic condition that can be managed. My journey with diabetes was very challenging my blood sugar was very high at the beginning/. Finally, I manged to master day-to-day diabetes self-management through a healthy lifestyle. I have successfully manged my diabetes to the extent that I am not obliged to take medication.

I have proved beyond doubt that diabetes can be defeated by eating healthy and regular physical activity. I have designed an 8-Step programme to control diabetes for life, my noble intent is to share my success story to as many people as possible especially people living with type 2 diabetes.

The funding is needed to enable me to conduct workshops at various locations in the four district municipalities of North West province. The workshop will present beneficiaries an opportunity to control their diabetes effectively. My programme is 8 steps to control diabetes for life.

Funds will be used for:
Printing of workshop materials
Printing of info charts
Workshop venues
Travel and accommodation
