Jamé and Michael Springbok dream

Personal message

We are siblings, Jamé (19) and Michael (17) Phillips.
We live in Barrydale, near Swellendam in the Overberg District. Jamé is a student at Elsenburg Agricultural Institute and Michael a grade 10 pupil at Swellendam High School.

Both of us were selected to represent SA at the Junior World Tug-of-War Championships in Ireland during September 2019. This will be Jamé's third representation of her country, and Michael's very first. Being the third generation of national pullers, it is surely a privilege to be selected.

The championships are taking place on the 4-9 September 2019 - leaving us with 1,5 months.
Funds raised will be used for airplane ticket of R25 000.
Accommodation, accreditation, bus travel and national apparel R25 000

Investment in our youth and in sport is of utmost importance. Sport is the one thing in South Africa that unites a nation and is good for the mental and physical health of any person.

Funding will be utilised towards traveling and accommodation expenses.
