Give a girl back her smile

Give a girl back her smile

Personal message

My Name is Jackie Koen I am from Greytown in Kwa Zulu Natal. I am looking for your help to GIVE MY DAUGHTER BACK HER SMILE.

Our family have been through a very rough few years and have somehow made it through. We are a very close-knit family who does everything as a unit. I am now focusing purely on getting the smile back for my daughter as you will see, she is so young but lived through so much and through it all has thought of all others.

My daughter Jordan is 13 years old and has just started her journey in high school, she has had to put all thoughts of herself on hold for the last 3 years. She has suffered so much pain and trauma and yet through it all she has stayed strong for her family.

She has had to watch her dearest elder brother fade away and die from Cancer, two months later her favourite Aunt was visiting and was suddenly taken from us. She was stung by a bee and 17 minutes later passed away in the car on the way to the hospital.
7 months after that she watched as her great grandmother took her last breath.

She has not once complained or said that life wasn't fair, she got up every morning and went through the day thinking of everyone else. Putting her wants and needs on hold.

This morning she asks me please to see if we can find the money to have her teeth sorted out as she is now in high school. And as soon as lockdown is lifted and we no longer have to wear masks, she is afraid the other children at school will tease her.

I was almost in tears as we are still paying off debt from when her brother was so sick. So there is no way I can afford this now.

If there is some way for me to GIVE HER BACK HER SMILE, I will try anything.

I was told by the local dentist that it is going to be a big job fixing her teeth and will cost roughly R24 000. We have been the government route but the hospital just doesn't bother to get back to you. You sit in the line for 6 hrs and they say they will call you with the next appointment and we still waiting 3 years later.
That is why I am asking for assistance from people that still care out there.
