Just One Child Fundraising

Just One Child Fundraising

Personal message

Just One Child started 16 years ago after the founder's daughter brought home a sick and abandoned baby for the weekend from Mother Theresa's home in Johannesburg.  The result of that action would be that JOC would subsequently receive another 34 babies into their care over the succeeding years. Over those years, the majority of these children have been placed in loving homes, however, JOC continues to support 7 children between the ages of 10-15.

Just One Child no longer take in infants, but we are committed to providing a loving and caring family home for these seven children and give them the best education they can offer.  With very little fundraising coming in and having to dig deep in their own pockets, The Wedding Shop UK have started a drive to raise enough money to support at least one of these children for a year.  Every little bit counts!

We have 7 children aged between 12 and 16 as at 1 July 2018, who were received as babies and who had no one else to care for them for various reasons. We have created a blended family with a housemother and seven children who we are bringing up as a family and getting them educated so that as an adult they can take their place in society and be able to fend for themselves as well as create their own future.
