The Drakie Dream

Drakensberg Boys Choir school

Worldwide there are many schools with boys’ choirs, but the Drakensberg Boys Choir is unique and one of only a few of its kind, globally: a boarding school using choral music as a significant vehicle for holistic education.

The mission of the Drakensberg Boys Choir School is to prepare boys for life and leadership through excellence in music, academics, physical development and social enrichment in a Christian environment.

Please join us and help us in keeping Kayden Mulder's dream alive.

Kayden's journey at DBCS started in October 2018 when he was scouted to be a Drakie boy. He was auditioned and was accepted into Drakensberg boys Choir School as a grade 4 in 2019, in the 2 years that Kayden has been in and boarded at DBCS, he has shown great strength, tenacity and great willingness to succeed and create a bright future for himself.

Kayden is an avid sportsman who has won all round sportsman awards at previous schools and is an above 80 percent average student.

Kayden also previously had very little music experience, he was only part of his school's choir when he was chosen to be auditioned, until today Kayden has now scored an A for music.

Kayden is driven, motivated, extremely bright and continues to evolve into a top student in his sports , academics and music. Kayden has placed in the top 3 students in his grade 5 year for every term and received multiple awards for academics, sports, music and not to mention is a top mathematics student.

Raising the funds to keep Kayden and our families dream alive in staying at DBCS is so very important to us so that he can continue his studies in a school where he continues to blossom and is able to shine and show his true character, his love and appreciation for music and his destiny is undeniable and we would just love to see his life go to greater heights to which he is completely capable of.
