Personal message

Kian has always excelled academically and has always strived to be the best. He won the top world mark for his Cambridge IGCS exams for science and then topped South Africa for chemistry in grade 12. He was the Dux of his school and was an excellent head boy. 

Kian is a true empty, and his calling was always to be a doctor. Armed with that calling, he applied at several universities to study medicine and eventually chose to study at TuKs, where he has applied himself diligently and achieved outstanding results. 

He was awarded the VCDMA scholarship, which is awarded to the top 100 applications to the university in that year. Kian has a passion for pediatrics and or surgery and would love to pursue this and stay in SA and Save lives. 

He was selected as one of 4 third-year students to be blessed to study his elective (paediatric surgery) in Norway for the 4th block of 2022, i.e. from October to December. 

He asks for financial assistance in getting warm clothing, spending money, visas, and some travel expenses- the varsity is paying for the medical tuition and most of the accommodation. 
Kian is a National lifesaver and gives back to the community by doing patrols and competing for SA. 

He has a passion for others and is instrumental in helping the Gauteng water-smart program and drowning prevention training that occurs countrywide. 

He sits on several committees in pivotal roles, always happy to help and give his time without any financial gain. He would love this opportunity but is not in a financial position to afford this amazing opportunity; therefore, he appeals to all to help make this become a reality. Any donation, small or big, would be greatly appreciated.
