For those who are in a position to do so, financial contributions at this stage will make the biggest difference. There are amazing teams on the ground who have specific expertise in disaster manegment and they need our support inorder to do what they do best! Below is a list of official organisations on the ground that are providing assistance.

Gifts in Kind
Anything you can think of, people have lost everything! At this stage the most pressing needs are:
- Blankets and Pillows, Towels
- Pet Food, nappies, baby bottles
- Old Tents, bottled water, can openers
- Clothing (especially jerseys and jackets at this time of year)
- Toiletries, Sanitary towels
- Non-perishable food (including baby food and formula)
- Lip ice for firefighters
Where to drop it off?
Nationwide: DHL has opened their offices as drop off points across the country. Locate your
nearest DHL office and go and drop off some donations in kind.
Pretoria: Rekord offices at 32 Orpen Avenue, Lydiana, Pretoria (During office hours)
Cape Town: all City of Cape Town fire stations have been declared as “Official Drop-off Points” for donated goods
I’m driving to Knysna
If you are headed to Knysna and would like to drop off donations, collection points are
- The basement of the Knysna municipality’s technical services building in Spring Street
- Eden Fire Station in George
Just Shop and Help
Through nbsp;Pick n Pay's online shopping portal, you can choose to have purchased goods distributed to victims of the Knysna Fire and the Cape Storm. On checkout, select "Add New Collection Point", click on the Western Cape on the map, and choose where you want your donation to go. You can also donate your smart shopper points.
Volunteers in Affected Area
Officials have cautioned people not to visit the affected sites unless they are working for specific services. Should information change, we will update you.
