In loving memory of Damien Harry a.k.a Dee.

On July 2nd 2023, my brother Dee took his own life after a battle with depression and frustration following his unfair dismissal at work. The pressure, the anger, the shame and the helplessness became too much to bear. Damien was working on his own business which was already showing signs of success and great potential and was set to fight his case with the CCMA in the coming weeks.

Unfortunately and possibly due to the stress of month end, the stress and sense of defeat became too much and in a moment of despair, he tragically gave in to the dark thoughts.

Dee leaves behind his wife, Lara, and his 2 year old daughter, Joy. We would like to raise money for Lara to help with funeral costs, groceries, baby supplies as well as settling debts from loans that were taken out to support his family in his time of unemployment.

We would also like to assist Lara with paying for school fees, medical aid/insurances as well as rent for the next year until she can get back onto her feet.

Grandparents from both sides are trying their best to support but are either retired or jobless and unable to fully financially support the duo. As family we are doing what we can to support where we can but just dont have the resources to make the worries go away.

We know the target may be ambitious, but we want to try and assist Lara with all financial needs as she processes this difficult time so that she can focus on raising her daughter by herself.

Dee was loved by many and we hope this campaign will serve to honour his memory and look after his family.
