Lauren's "Escape From Robben Island Swim" To Raise Funds for TSiBA

Personal message

I've swum across Midmar Dam 60 times since 1999, but this is possibly one of my craziest swims yet... braving the icy Atlantic, jellyfish and marine life to do...

... a Robben Island to Big Bay crossing (7.5km) in March/April 2017!

This extreme swim is dedicated to raising funds, and awareness, for the Tertiary School in Business Education (TSiBA). I am passionate about education for all - it is our future! Especially when the focus is leadership and entrepreneurship which is what South Africa desperately needs.

Your support will help our group raise R55 000 for a student, who may otherwise not be able to study further (like most of us have) due to academic constraints, to earn an accredited TSiBA business qualifcation on a full-tuition scholarship.

Supporting my swim will have far-reaching effect as TSiBA is unique - students are not required to re-pay their scholarships financially – but to Pay it Forward transferring the skills they learn at TSiBA back into their communities in line with their vision of 'Igniting Opportunity'.

My target is R10 000, so if I do the swim, I encourage you to do the donating! Please donate! Please share my journey!

Thanks, God Bless, Lauren x

*Tax Deduction: All donations over R100 will be issued a Section 18a Tax Certificate by TSiBA.
