Lollie's American Dream

Lollie's American Dream

Personal message

I've always dreamed of travelling and getting to see more of the world. I have worked hard over the last 4 years to save enough money to au pair and to get myself qualified for the program. I was accepted onto the program and matched with a family. My dream is finally being realized, I am a few short weeks from stepping on American soil, my host family has already booked my transport from New York to their city!

I am due to fly to New York on the 18th of Feb. However before this can happen I have to pay visa application costs, travel to the U.S. embassy in Cape Town and back, as well as insurance. My fees are due a week before departing! I have never worked so hard for anything in my life before. I have made it this far on my own, now I need some help to make it to the finish line.

I don't know how many nights I cried myself to sleep when the doubts crept in that I wouldn't be able to do this before it was too late. I'm just under the cut off for the program age limit, so it's now or never.

Please find it in your heart's to help this girl meet the world.
