It’s Siyabonga Magagula's second time competing in the 947 cycle challenge.
He is exhilarated to partake in the cycle challenge for the second time. In order for him to compete he will need a few things that she can borrow. he still needs a bike as well as someone to sponsor him a helmet and a cycle short. Help him tocontinue the dream of being part of something bigger than himself.
Here is his story
My name is Siyabonga Magagula. I am 22 years old age and i completed my Matric in 2013. I am currently doing an Internship at MES under the PR & RD department. I was born in Soweto and I grew up there. Growing up alongside my cousins with their bicycles got me exposed to not only enjoy riding the bicycle, but also enjoying fixing it when it breaks.
The Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge not only evokes nostalgia but is so exciting to know that I’ll be given a chance to make new memories on that day
Ride For A Purpose
MES is a Christian social development organisation that facilitates professional services to vulnerable or at risk individuals, families and communities empowering them through a holistic service model to become independent and sustainable. Our vision is “To change the heart of the City!” MES is a registered Non Profit organization and renders services in the greater Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Kempton Park.
Why the “Ride for Purpose”?
947 Telkom Cycling Challenge has created a platform for the public to give back to the society. Ride for a Purpose is an initiative which will enable MES and other NGOs to sustain and expand their services to the community. MES would like to give you the opportunity to be part of this great initiative! For the past 31 years MES has been serving the inner-city. This year’s funds will be allocated to our Hospice, Impilo.
