Miguel Gwenzi

Personal message

Hi! I'm Gladys Sethole a mother of 2 boys from Cape Town, South Africa.  I am fundraising for my firstborn son Miguel Tawanda Gwenzi. I home-schooled Miguel since he was only 7 months old, since then he has progressed very well with his learning that he grew fond of reading books and learning maths, now at 5 he has the ability to read most books and novels with proper understanding.

Miguel has the ability to count up to 1000 in multiples, he has a sharp memory that he is able to spell most words he has seen or read and he speaks English eloquently. This year I decided it is now time for him to join the mainstream schooling system where he can be involved in engagement learning with peers of his age at a school that offers individual schooling support that he so much needs. He was accepted and enrolled right away.

It will be a dream come true to be able to afford his education from one of the sought after schools in South Africa (Curro Durbanville). Curro is an independent school with a minimum number of students in each class which allows for more one on one interaction with the educator. Miguel has irregular concentration patterns that he requires constant attention and can be articulate if really guided, he expresses himself through creativity.

The young man is very creative and loves building electronic cars, robots and mechanical devices, his dream he says is to build a vehicle that can fly,  so that he doesn't have to sit in traffic. We believe in his ability to achieve this dream that is why Curro Durbanville is the right fit for him as it offers robotics and mechatronics from grade R students up to high school.

The funds will be utilized as follows,
R55 000 towards his school fees
R18 000 towards his extramural activities & stationery.
R19 000 towards his transport fees and after school learning activities.

Funds raised will be transferred into my account and then debited by the school.

Thank you so much for your kind consideration.
