FAME.org.za COVID-19 Musicians Relief Fund

Personal message

The banning of large gatherings due to the Coronavirus (or Covid-19) in South Africa has seen venues, event and festival organisers canceling shows, performances, and gigs.

For allot of local musicians, these events are their livelihood, and cancellations result in major financial strain on an already struggling industry. As such, and in addition to the usual allocation of funds by FAME.org.za towards the empowerment of SA musicians, we will make a portion of the FAME Foundation's funds available to help musicians get through these tough times.

The FAME.org.za Foundation’s COVID-19 Relief Fund will enable the Foundation to assist local musicians while they try and keep their heads above water amidst canceled events and the effect the Coronavirus has on their income.

Contributions and donations towards the FAME.org.za COVID-19 Relief Fund will be re-distributed to local musicians who are experiencing financial strain due to cancellations amidst the Coronavirus 'lockdown'.
